Country House Torrenera is in a panoramic position on the hills of Teramo, close to the Adriatic coasts and 40 minutes far from the Gran Sasso. Leaving from our B&B is easy to reach Roseto degli Abruzzi, one of the most lively cities of the coast, amazing villages, protected marine areas such as that one of the Cerrano, natural reserves such the Borsacchio one, and parks, castles, and everything that make the Abruzzo so beautiful.
Is one of the most lively bathing cities along the coast and has sandy and wide beaches, that are suitable for your summer holidays. It is also known as "Lido delle Rose". The original core of Roseto is the village of Montepagano, on a hill that overlooks the coast but is from the Ninetheenth century that the modern city center started to develop around the train station. Today is a really important tourist center, that is so lively thanks to the numerous cultural and artistic events and a lot of sport activities that is possible to do: basket, tennis, skating, windsurf, sailing... There is of course also a strong connection between culture and food and wine, that explicate in a lot of initiatives devoted to the excellences of the territory. The same connection that can be found in the cooking of the best restaurants in the province of Teramo.
Few minutes from our B&B in Abruzzo, there is a small natural reserve, the Borsacchio, an area of unpolluted beauty.
Here, between Cologna and Roseto, the coast preserves all the original integrity of the Mediterranean scrub and of the dunes of a halophytic vegetation.
In the silence of a place that has not been corroded by the urbanization, the Borsacchio offers an ideal habitat for a lot of different animal species and clear sea waters.

Between Silvi and Pineto, the Marine Area of the Cerrano has been declared protected in 2009 and it is one of the locations of the Center of Water Biology of the Zooprophylactic Institute of Abruzzo and Molise.
Is is featured by the Cerrano Tower, an ancient coastal tower, that dated back to the Kingdom of Neaples, and that hosts the Museum of the Sea and the International Center of Veterinary Medicine Training.
The striking Tower is surrounded by a typical Mediterranean garden and a really wide free beach.

An ancient mediaeval village (since 2012 it has been part of the ‘Authentic Villages of Italy’ group) surrounded by imposing walls, it is home to the Museum of Material Culture and hosts an important Italian wine exhibition. During the year it also hosts numerous initiatives and events that attract visitors and enthusiasts from the entire area (living Nativity scene, ‘Montepagano’ national poetry competition for unpublished poems in Italian and dialect, characteristic Christmas markets, ‘Il Giusto Gusto’ food event, the re-enactment of the threshing with all machinery reproduced in scale by local craftsmen, Montepagano Jazz Festival and much more besides).

Only in the close surroundings of our holiday apartments, one can last enchanted visiting art and history city center such as Atri or Civitella del Tronto. By moving in the hinterland, there are amazing landscapes such as that one of Campotosto or Campo Imperatore, Rocca Calascio, the Majella, the Scanno Lake and Roccaraso and Rivisondoli, with their ski resorts. The Abruzzo can offer a variety of landscapes and places that will leave all the tourist speechless.
